Law Ask for Photos of Women Who Are Already Fiance
Question:
I officially preached my uncle's daughter. The period of preaching in our place is long, as you know. Then I did safar, I asked him after I left Safar, to send the picture. Apparently he really sent his picture to me. Am I sinful because of this action? If yes, what is the point?
Shaykh Bin Baz's answer rahimahullah:
Yes, you can't ask for photos. And you must repent to God for this action.
Repent to God with honest repentance, regretting what you did and determined not to repeat it.
You have to tear (or delete) the photo. The woman may not send photos to you. Likewise, you may not send photos to him. What may be, you see it directly (nazhar) if you have preached it or wished to preach it. Not why you see it directly.
Because the Apostle sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam ordered this, he said,
انظر إليها ، ألا تنظر إليها
"Look at him. Don't you want to see it first ?! "
That is to say, seeing women who are dikbahitbah is okay, as long as they do not worship (together with women), but must be accompanied by their father, mother or brother, they should not be khalwat.
Men who are chanting may see their faces, visible body parts or fingers, hair, no matter what.
However, he should not pray with the woman. Also not going out with him in the car, as some people do with the girl he preaches, he walks with his fiancee girl to the city or to the parks. This act is not true and can be a means to damage.
The person who is allowed to see the woman is accompanied by his guardian, such as his mother, brother or other mahram. So he can see things that make him interested in marrying him or things that make him not interested in going forward.
So, men who preach should not take pictures, also for women who are preached not to ask for photos of men who are preaching it. Both are prohibited.
May God bless you ...
