No Singles or Bachelors in Heaven

No single or bachelor in heaven is proof that marriage is a great pleasure and one of the sources of happiness and tranquility in the world. All the pleasures felt in the world will certainly be felt in heaven with a comparison of pleasure that cannot be imagined. This also proves that taking too long alone is not a pleasant thing, because Islam suggests getting married soon to those who are capable and there is a prohibition to live single and have no desire to get married. Hopefully the unmarried ones are hastened to get a mate / shalihah match.

In heaven there is no single / bachelor because everyone will have a partner. The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

وما في الجنة أعزب

"And in heaven there are no singles / singles" [Muslim]

Faithful couples will be paired again in heaven and with faith, they will enter heaven together to become eternal eternal partners in heaven.

Allah says,

ﺟَﻨَّﺎﺕُ ﻋَﺪْﻥٍ ﻳَﺪْﺧُﻠُﻮﻧَﻬَﺎ ﻭَﻣَﻦ ﺻَﻠَﺢَ ﻣِﻦْ ﺀَﺍﺑَﺂﺋِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﺃَﺯْﻭَﺍﺟِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﺫُﺭِّﻳَّﺎﺗِﻬِﻢْ

"That is heaven‘ There are those who entered into it TOGETHER with godly people from their fathers, WIFE and grandchildren ". (Ar-Ra’du: 23)



If there are women:

[1] Unmarried people in the world or

[2] his partner is not a resident of heaven or

[3] Divorced and not remarried until the woman died

So God will marry them to the inhabitants of heaven who also have no partners in the world.

Shaykh Muhammad bin Shalih explained,

ﺇﺫﺍ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﻣﻦ ﺃﻫﻞ ﻭﻟﻢ ﻭﻟﻢ ﻟﻴﺲ ﻣﻦ ﺃﻫﻞ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺔ ﻓﺈﻧﻬﺎ ﺇﺫﺍ ﺩﺧﻠﺖ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺔ ﻓﻬﻨﺎﻙ ﻣﻦ ﺃﻫﻞ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺔ ﻣﻦ ﻟﻢ ﻳﺘﺰﻭﺟﻮﺍ ﻣِﻦ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﺎﻝ ﻭﻫُﻢ ﻳﺘﺰﻭﺟﻮﺍ ﻣِﻦ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﺎﻝ ﻭﻫُﻢ - ﺃﻋﻨﻲ ﻣﻦ ﻟﻢ ﻳﺘﺰﻭﺟﻮﺍ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﺎﻝ

"An unmarried woman (in the world) or her husband who is not a resident of heaven. If the woman enters heaven, then in heaven there are also residents of heaven from unmarried men in the world (they will be married in accordance with the pleasure of their hearts). "[Fatawa Syaikh Al-stUstaimin 2/52]

Woman who married several husbands in the world (after her previous husband died), then her husband in heaven was her last husband in the world


His argument was the actions of Ummah Dardaa 'who refused the Mu'awiyah proposal because he wanted to be Abu Dardaa's husband in heaven. He said,
"I heard Abu Darda’ (her dead husband) said, I heard the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:

الْمَرْأَةُ لِآخِرِ أَزْوَاجِهَا

"A woman for her last husband".

And I don't want a substitute for Abu Dardaa '”[As-Shahihah no. 128]

Hudzaifah radhiallahu ‘anhu also once said to his wife:

إن شئت أن تكوني زوجتي في الجنة فلا تزوجي بعدي فإن المرأة في الجنة لآخر أزواجها في الدنيا فلذلك حرم الله على أزواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن ينكحن بعده لأنهن أزواجه في الجنة

"If you want to be my wife in heaven then don't marry again after I die, because a woman in heaven will be the wife of her last husband in the world. Therefore Allah forbade the wives of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam to marry again after the death of the Prophet, because they are the wives of the Prophet in heaven" [As-Shahihah no. 1281]
